The goal of this project was to create a slideshow with each element and principle of design with examples of them. This project was made to help remember and understand what each element and principle of design is and what it's used for.
Olympic Symbol Project
Icon Set Project
The goal of this project was to create six images that show who you are, the six images I chose were a basketball, a car, a guitar, a shoe, a stack of money, and sushi. I chose a basketball to show that I like to play basketball, I chose a car to show that I am interested in cars, I chose a guitar to show that I play guitar and I like music, I chose a shoe to show that I like shoes, I chose a stack of money to show that I like making money, and I chose sushi to show that I like sushi. |
Monogram Project
The goal of this project is to use an object to represent you, but to also hide your initials in the picture. I chose to make the picture a piano to show that I like to play the piano, I hid my initials, EN, in the keys. The E is the three keys on the left side and the N is the keys on the right with the finger going through it. |
Logo
The goal of this project was to create a logo for a real or fake business, or recreate a logo of a company. I chose to create a logo for my stepdad's football training. The training is called Legend Sports, I chose to use a gorilla because it reminds me of football. I made three different logos, the circle with the gorilla inside would be the main logo and the other two would be used if the main logo didn't look right.

Hand Cut Screen Printing
For this project you needed to cut out an image into the film. Then you apply the film onto the screen and let it dry. If you the film is applied to the screen correctly you can peel the plastic off the back and print. I chose to do the NBA logo for my project because I like to play basketball and the NBA is the National Basketball Association. In my first few prints I didn't apply enough pressure so the prints didn't fully come out. When I made adjustments to the amount of pressure I used the prints came out consistently.

Photo Indirect Screen Printing
In tis project you go through a different screen printing process to print shirts. I chose to do my stepdads clothing brand, Grizzly Ave. On the left you can see the original image of the logo, on the right you can see the logo on the shirt. For the process of making the shirts it is the same as the hand cut screen printing, the difference is the way you make the film. On the hand cut you have to actually cut it yourself, in photo indirect you use the plate maker and it makes cuts the film for you and you just have to apply it to the screen.
